Early detection of Alzheimer’s disease with a simple blood test

Sysmex continues to innovate in the field of immunochemistry, providing advanced solutions that revolutionise diagnostic capabilities. For a long time, reliable detection of β-amyloid was only possible from CSF or using imaging techniques (e.g. amyloid PET). Even in cases where these procedures are medically necessary, they are often invasive or expensive. With the help of highly sensitive testing solutions such as the Sysmex Automated Immunoassay System HISCL, biomarkers for early detection of Alzheimer’s disease – such as the β-Amyloid 1-42/1-40 ratio – can now be measured from blood samples. This makes diagnostics less risky, less complex and significantly more economical.

During this session, a Sysmex expert in the field of immunochemistry will share valuable insights and advancements in the realm of Alzheimer testing.

By attending this session, you will have the opportunity to learn about:

• the latest advancements in HISCL technology
• how the HISCL instrument enables early and reliable detection of Alzheimer’s using blood biomarkers
• improvements in sensitivity, specificity and ease of use for clinical settings
insights into how HISCL is transforming Alzheimer’s diagnostics globally, including scientific studies done on HISCL so far

IPF: A key indicator in thrombopoietic activity and disease monitoring

Accurate assessment of platelet function and count is essential for diagnosing and managing various bleeding disorders. This presentation will highlight key advancements in platelet analysis, focusing on the added value of the PLT-F channel and the IPF parameter on the XN/XR-Series.

We will explore the immature platelet fraction (IPF), a haematological diagnostic parameter obtained directly from a routine blood test alongside the complete blood count. The IPF value reflects real-time bone marrow activity, indicating the absolute number of newly produced immature platelets released into peripheral blood.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the clinical applications and benefits of the PLT-F channel and IPF parameter. We will discuss how these innovations enhance platelet analysis, providing laboratories with reliable and comprehensive diagnostic solutions.

Join us to discover how advancements in platelet analysis are revolutionising haematology and improving patient care through superior diagnostic capabilities.

Explore future diagnostics with Sysmex
  • Egypt colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programme
  • Go beyond the urinalysis that you know

This session presents the ongoing colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programme project and initial outcomes with respect to the impact on CRC incident rates and cancer patients’ life expectancy. Additionally, the speaker will address Sysmex’s contribution to the programme and the experience overall.

The urinalysis session aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between technology, clinical microbiology and public health to address current challenges in urinalysis and infectious disease management.

Smartly linked in leukaemia diagnostics with CyFlow WA & flow cytometry technology in PNH diagnosis

We are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Sysmex Clinical Flow Cytometry Workshop at the MedLab 2025 Exhibition in Dubai on 4 February 2025, from 14:30 to 15:30 in the Jebel Ali A room.

Navigating the intricate landscape of clinical diagnostics is a significant challenge, both within and beyond the clinical flow cytometry laboratory. As a result, laboratory departments and specialties must collaborate efficiently to support patients throughout their diagnostic healthcare journey, particularly when dealing with complex disease pathways like haematological malignancies.

CyFlow WA, an advanced work area manager (WAM) software from Sysmex, serves as the key to a seamlessly connected, modern clinical flow cytometry laboratory. It integrates effortlessly with existing Sysmex laboratory equipment, acting as a robust middleware solution that bridges haematology and clinical flow cytometry data analysis. All necessary data can be displayed together on a single customisable screen, enabling confident navigation through the diagnostic complexities of leukaemia and lymphoma.

In addition to CyFlow WA, in this workshop you will be able to find out more about some of the most recent approaches in paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) diagnosis by flow cytometry.
