Quality Control
Quality matters
Sysmex is the global leader in the haematology market. We have achieved this by making quality an absolute priority. In everything we do. From the quality of our analysers, to our service, to the way we interact with others. There are several practical reasons why we believe quality is important – and directly relevant to our customers. To ensure consistency, it needs to be monitored constantly.
Just having a good product and service is not enough. We need to make sure the whole system is reliable – the analyser and the reagent system. And we need to be sure we detect possible systematic errors. Why? Because in theory they can cause healthy patients to appear unhealthy, or unhealthy patients to remain undetected.
We know you rely completely on your analytical devices. And on the accuracy of the results. We have done everything up front to ensure our machines are reliable. But we still need to check it and monitor the performance of the devices constantly. We systematically monitor and evaluate each and every factor that can influence the quality of the results. This minimises rework, and safeguards our position as market leader. Most importantly, it means your patients have the best chance of recovery.
Another issue is that our industry needs rules and regulations. They ensure the highest possible standards are maintained. In practical terms, this means quality control has to be documented in line with national policies.
So why QC?
Doctors need to KNOW their results are reliable. We contribute by doing our very best to ensure results are produced in a quality-controlled environment. So that the full quality of our analysers is used. Doctors can then safely assume that deviations from a normal result are due only to the patient’s clinical condition and not the result of technical problems.
